The expressive power of LaCarmen’s unconventional look is seen in its unusual “collar” which stays vertical by means of innovative, self-supporting material. The two different ways of using the armchair inspired its design concept. With its collar up it is a snug, enveloping nest; with the collar down it has an informal look ideal for convivial settings. Multilayer beech wood frame covered with polyurethane foam. Shaped steel back covered with polyurethane foam. Resin-treated headrest and collar provided with a divisible zip.
